Ko Dae-young
Korean Broadcasting System President and CEO
Mr. Ko Dae-young, the 22nd President and CEO of KBS, took
office and began his term on November 24, 2015. Mr. Ko joined
KBS as a TV reporter in 1985 and has since held key positions
including foreign correspondent to Moscow, Russia, Executive
Director of News Department, Executive Managing Director of
News & Sports Division, General Auditor for KBS Media and
President of KBS Business. He also held an Adjunct
Professorship at Sookmyung Women’s University. As a reporter
and journalist, he earned the 7th Korean Journalistic Verity Award
(2011) for his outstanding contributions in the field. Born in 1955,
Mr. Ko studied English Linguistics at Hankuk University of
Foreign Studies. He will serve as President and CEO of KBS for
three years until November 2018.
